Description
2/27/2022: This project was made for a freshman engineering design course. I am not a mechanical engineer and cannot confirm the accuracy of this model.
In this project, an inline-four internal combustion engine is modeled. The design includes four pistons as well as a flywheel and timed camshafts to allow for proper intake and exhaust cycles. The final design includes a cutaway of the engine to show the function of the pistons. A hand crank was added to allow the model to be used for educational demonstration purposes. The hand crank rotates the crankshaft moving both the pistons and valves. The design is meant to allow instructors to show the cycles of a four-stroke piston system to their students in a more hands-on manner.
The final assembly references multiple subassemblies and parts outside of the assembly file. Therefore, the .f3d does not work correctly for manipulation.
PARTS:
1. Base block
2. Crankshaft
3. Belt
4. Hand crank
5. Small crankshaft belt gear
6. Large camshaft belt gear
7. camshaft gears
8. Piston head
9. Piston pin
10. Piston arm
11. Piston arm bottom (secures piston to crankshaft)
12. Camshafts
13. Camshaft cams
14. Valves
15. Flywheel
16. Springs
17. Miscellaneous retaining rings

hi...i am working on a project enhancing the efficiency of 4 stroke engines.. i would like your model to run some simulation tests. would you mind sending me the cad file. It would be rocking if you do. mail me please at lightspeed2050@gmail.com
This is truly an awesome design bravo! If you don't mind can you send me the file? My email is apapagianis8052@bayaidehighschool.org
please could you send me the design to albertojimesco at gmail dot com? I am mechanical engineering student
plz send me this drawing full Pdf file ,this is the mail is hanumant_spatil@outlook.com
Nice design!
good
