PSI is how pressure washers are sold such as 1000-1600 PSI to 5000 to 5900 PSI. A pressure-washer is divided into two different strengths one is PSI pounds per square inch, this is the amount of pressure that the pressure washing unit will provide for cleaning. The second is GMP is the gallons per minute. The higher GPM will clean more of the surface in less amount of time.
The less PSI's will have a lower flow of water than a larger pressure washer with higher PSIs. If you are going to use it for small and damageable items to clean such as windows and automobiles you want to select a Low PSI. If you are looking for your pressure-washer to clean very dirty stable items such as a house or side walk you can select a best pressure washer under 200 with higher PSIs.
If you know you want to use detergent for most of the things you will be using your pressure washing unit for, you want to buy one with a built in tank or a hose to sink into a bucket of solution. If you want to use straight water, you will not need a pressure washer with a tank on it. However if you select a pressure washer without a solution tank it will then come with a hose option and a on and off knob for options.
You can find good and bad in both gas and best pressure washing unit. With electric, you will always have to have an outlet to plug in the pressure-washers. Using an electric power washer for small home jobs will come in handy and will work better than a water hose. Using a gas power washer means you have to add oil to your machine; there are power washers where you have to mix the oil with the gas and others have their own oil tank.
You cannot go wrong with adding a power washer to your home tools and toys. Remember to think over the different options and what will fit your needs now and in the future. You and shop on line to help you compare all the different options that a power washer has to offer.
