Description

X VEIN is open-sourced 3D-printable drone project founded by some voluntary peoples in Japan, Yuki Ogasawara, Ryo Kumeda, Yuji Fujimura, and Tetsuya Konishi. All data of X VEIN are available under terms of use described below.

ABOUT

This drone is designed with using Generative design technology as a method to combine various performances such as strength, shooting ability, safety, and expandability with lightness, which is a trade-off relationship. Topology optimization has been performed on the propeller guard, which has a high coverage area, and the characteristic frame that has the functions of a motor mount and landing gear, to achieve weight reduction while ensuring strength at the same time. It can shoot stable video with a 2-axis camera gimbal which installed in the center of the aircraft and lowering the center of gravity. It has extra space so that user can customize whatever they want.
