Description
Last weekend I started another CNC router CAD model and finished it up last night. My goal on this one was to keep the overall width to a minimum by tucking the Y ballscrews in as close to the frame as possible. I think this would be a reasonably rigid machine, within the limitations of aluminum extrusions, and not difficult to build once machined parts are in hand. All major dimensions are driven by user parameters including X Ballscrew Length, Y Ballscrew Length, Z Ballscrew Length and Gantry clearance height. Change any one of those and the model adjusts to reflect the new dimensions. A second Z Axis assembly is included which utilizes 20mm rails, ballscrew and NEMA 34 Clearpath Servo.
Specifications:
Size - Parameter Driven
Extrusions - 80/20inc. 40 Series. All extrusions are 80mm x 40mm
Aluminum Plates - 5/8" for all except the front end plates which are 1"
X & Y Profile Rails - 20mm
Z Profile Rails - 15mm
X & Y Ballscrews - 20mm
Z Ballscrew - 16mm
Stepper Motors - Drawn with NEMA 23 ClearPath Servos but mounts will also accept NEMA 34 Stepper Motors Attached Thumbnails

Hi Ed
I'm new with fusion 360 I have bean thinking of building a cnc I work on 3d Printers for personal use but they are kind of small need something bigger like a cnc for making a address plate for the front of my house. would you like to Share the files to see how can i design my cnc). Thank you JC
NEMA 23 stepper motors should work fine but adapters for NEMA 34 are also included in the design.
Hello. Could you please write which engine series you had in mind?
Hello to you
Well done for your work, I'm a good machinist, I'm not very good at it
drawing. I would like to know if you have a PDF version of the drawings
I am interested in young people who are going to drop out of school and I would like to interest them in making a cnc machine
To show them not to drop out of school
If possible for you
thank you and again bravo for your work

Could you share this with me. engineering@dedynamics.net
Good morning Is it possible to send the project in my email? alexpoly2008@gmail.com thank you
All CAD files have been updated with the latest revisions and fixes.
good evening Is it possible to send the project in my email? lpstacio@gmail.com thank you
Hi
I am starting to bild this machine and i will post if all is ok.
First thing to start is the gantry plates and all other plates from 7mm to 20mm aluminium sheets.
Regards
Dario
Looks very nice. I'm so curious if this has ever been built / tried out by anyone? Maybe a Video?
