Description

This Innovative Engine Design has some critical design problems I am trying to solve and may need help from other mechanical minded designers to see if I can fix the problems.

1) One problem is that the 4 rollers located at the one end of each connecting rod that follow along the elliptical track of the Crankshaft Assembly most likely would pinch on the roller track when the engine is in operation and the metal parts heat up and expand slightly causing the rollers to excessively wear out or even sieze the engine and etc. Working to find a way around this besides using a clearence gap that would cause 'knocking' and 'chattering' of the connecting rod assembly on the roller track of the Crankshaft assembly.

2)Another problem is the expected Lateral Forces that would be applied on the connecting rod namely on the ignition stroke of the piston that would push the connecting rod towards the center forcing the crankshaft to turn due to the angle of the forces being redirected laterally with the connecting rod. What needs to be done is find the mathematical formula to use to calculate the forces that would apply to the connecting rod and the connecting rod sleeve (which is designed to have rollers instead of a low clearence contact sleeve and cylinder design) relative to the forces applied to the piston/connecting rod assemblies and taking in the account of variable counter-torque of engine load.

I've been trying to calculate the forces on the connecting rod assembly for particular given stages of RPM. Since the connecting rod needs to be built strong it will also have significant weight which will stress the rest of the connecting rod assembly. Running these simulations is a difficult new task that I could use some help with.

Might consider a "premix" oiling system, similar to Shindaiwa's C4 and Stihl's new 4 stroke technology.
