Description
Coat Hook - T-Spline modeling practice. The object was inspired by Taylor Stein's recent post and video tutorial. I've uploaded the Model. Have a look. If you have suggestions or questions on modeling techniques give a shout.

Taylor,
The mount plate is sculpted geometry also. I sketched a section and extruded the perimeter. Afterward using edit-form and working a lot in box-mode constructed the various levels. An extrusion off the main hook was used to become the face of the mount plate. I converted both to B-Reps and performed Split_Face operations where the two bodies intersected. After deleting the extra material I Stitched the mount and hook. I made a patch surface to enclose the back of the mount plate then Stitched to get a solid (see new images). An alternative for removing the overlapping material could have been using the Trim_Tool. My original plan was to simply apply the Stitch_Tool and have it automatically do away with the excess material but it does not appear that the Stitch_Tool behaves in this manner (unless I'm not understanding something).

In general the mount plate is not yet to my liking in terms of form development and I still need to incorporate screw bosses if it's to match the original design intent.

Thanks for commenting - Vince

Looks great, Vince! Did you create the mounting plate using solid modeling, or did you sculpt all of that, too?
