Cayenn is a ChiliPeppr invention to allow you to extend your CNC controller with add-on devices where you make the CNC controller be the main driver of your Gcode job, but the add-on devices get their own subset of commands and sync in real-time with the main controller. This video walks you through a tour of three Cayenn devices, shows them working, and shows you what the Gcode needs to look like to drive your Cayenn devices.

Your project and my own working with a 3040 CNC upgraded with a TinyG V8 has gotten me thinking. I spent 7 months a couple years ago restoring the capability of a 1998 KOMO CNC Router with Fanuc control. A lingering problem which neither KOMO or Fanuc could solve is the tiny file size (<256K) that the machine will run. They also could not find a DNC solution. Now though I am thinking that a chilipeppr solution could be at hand. Originally I was told that much of the hardware would need to be replaced as well as the controllers. But why can't the existing hardware parameters simply be coded in? Do you think this is worth a discussion? A solution would make someone a hero. Cheers
