PERFECT!!!!!
Amazing. Good job!
Ein super erstelltes Modell, so real!! 10/10 Sternen
Excelente.
Trabalho magnifico. Parabéns pelo empenho. Detalhes espetaculares. A vista do brasão no tanque, com pintura metalizada, é sensacional.
I would like to know the method used for 'REPLICATING' the existing model? Was a 3D Scanning Laser used? Or was it just many many measurements taken of an existing Model to get everything so exact to the real Model. It would be good to see pictures of the real model put side by side with the 3D Replication Models.
Is this model up for download? I haven't used autodesk Gallery and I don't see a download button.
Awesome details Don
Amazing
Amazing
Greatly done! Amazing details! Now is the next step to 3d print it and get her on the Highway ;-) Looking forward
Well I looked back at the thread which I should have done first. You don’t own one. That makes this even more amazing.
I keep going back to scrutinize the renders and no matter how close I look they never disappoint. Being a detail junkie myself I have to ask you. Do you own a Harley Softail Delux? Either that or you have access to engineering drawings. So amazing.
Thanks guys!
So much work. What a project. It’s just beautiful.
Awesome Work Dude!!!... Aloha and God Bless, Sal Salvador...
MindBoggling. Absolutely a master of your trade buddy, nice work!
Absolutely amazing! It's quite obvious you know and have a passion for the subject matter.
Wow! Great job
Thanks Frank, the rendering is done in Fusion locally. I used the 'Plaza' for the lighting.
Thanks also to Riones, Axel, Muhammad, and again Peter.
Assume design is the rendering with Fusion ? or Showcase ?
greats Frank
WOW NICE!! work the concept is really cool..
PLEASE, like mine too, I'm participating in a competition and need at least 50 like..

COOL WORK!!! KEEP IT UP! By the way could like my projects.... I need at least 50 likes...
Anyway, can you help me to like my projects? I'm participating in Autodesk 360 Mini Competition in Indonesia, "Indonesia Handicraft". Here's the links to my projects:

I need likes in each project to be judges by juries/panel. Thank you very much!
Best Regards,
Arif
Masterpiece! It's great Mr D MacDonald, I need learn a lot from you!
Excellent work! You could try to add a very light bump map and a micro scratch map to give that mathematically perfect chrome the very last layer of realism. This is really a piece that shows what can be done with the Fusion 360 render engine when driven properly!
Thanks for the the compliments guys.
As for the rendering, Akhil, for the engine shot I choose the 'Plaza' for the HDR lighting and rotated the environment at an angle that gave good lighting. The engine shot has the background turned off while it is on in most shots. Rendered within fusion, not in the cloud.
Damn fine work
hello sir
great work .
I am a student
could you please help me some rendering tips https://fusion360.autodesk.com/projects/foldablecar
Thanks Jeff, it was challenging determining the form from photos. The best engine shots I found where on eBay.
wow! Great detail on that engine. Very impressive.
Thanks Colin. The emblem was made using T-spline pipe objects for the feathers, I projected lines to the tank surface and used the pipe. The rest was made by projecting a sketch to the surface, splitting the face, and offsetting faces. The bottom center piece has a variable Chamfer which I made by first using the variable fillet tool. Using the two edges created by the variable fillet, I made a loft between them and used that new surface to cut away the fillet, resulting in a variable Chamfer. After combining everything I added small fillets to all the edges. The type was traced from a photo rather than using a font.
That emblem is great! I assume you did that partially in T-Splines. You have to show some details on that. :)
Thanks a lot Aradhana, The rendering is done from within Fusion and not from the cloud renderer.
Great looking render. Love your work! Did you use Cloud rendering from Fusion?
Thanks Colin and Don, nice comments :)
Great looking renders!
I have to agree with Jeff, I get a kick when I see the the update in the inbox. Love the details, the imagery looks great.
The pipe tool is great. I use it not only for the frame, but also for the lettering on the side of the front fender, the emblem on the front of the fender, the light mounting bracket and joints between of the facets that make up the light's reflectors. In making the handle bars, I first used the sculpt pipe so I could easily manipulate it to get it to the shape I wanted then used the 'plane through three points' tool (twice) picked three points (twice) on the sculpted pipe so I could create two sketches and redo the handle bars using the solid modelling pipe tool. After that, I had to slice through the handlebar using a couple of Plane on Paths so I could rotate the handle part and shorten the lower section of it to give me the final piece. I am enjoying this project very much.
I've really started to look forward to these updates, just to see what happens next! Do you find yourself using Pipe a lot for the tubular components? I found that feature to be really efficient - just create the path, then use Pipe. Great for wires and other tubing.
Hi Jeff, I'm wish I had a top and end view. You can use a photo that's a 3/4 view and put it on a canvas inside a component. That way you can rotate the model to match or line up with the photo on the canvas which you can rotate to be perpendicular to your line of sight. That way you can get a close a proximation of the width of things.
I don't plan to model any parts that are not normally visible from the outside.
Yeah, that's how I went about modeling the Lotus 49 - just collected a bunch of photos. I had good top/front/side/back views that I set up as canvases on workplanes at the extents of the model. That helped get everything in the correct relative proportions. How detailed are you going on this project? Are you going to model the whole engine and gearbox internals?
Thanks Collin. Each time I finish modelling a piece I add materials and render it. It's quite satisfying each time. I'm modelling my brothers Harley Softail Deluxe. In addition to the photos he sent me, I find whatever I can online including an owners manual for an earlier version of the bike. I haven't found any blueprints though, just working from photos mostly.
Looking great so far Don, do you always apply materials as you go along?
What are you using for reference?
Thank you Jeff. Too much fun :)
this is amazing. Great detail. Can't wait to see the rest. I love that you are posting in-progress shots.
