Great looking project. Can you help me with a VTOL of mine?
Hi Avihoo - Thank you - It is 100% intuitive / 0% wind-tunnel :) I did export the model to X-Plane and the results there showed that it has a inverted / unfortunate glide angle (for every foot forward it loses 20feet in a un-powered glide).. not a plane to lose a engine in!
Thanks Jeremiah - Watching how long it is taking Honda to certify their "light" jet should dissuade all but the most intrepid entrepreneurs ;)
Looking nice... is this an intuitive piece of work or does the shape actually derive from real aerodynamic analysis?
very complexed and could be turned in to a working product. just a thought.
I'm really looking forward to seeing what you come up with - My first thought when I saw your Microscope rendering was "how did he get the update early?" :)
Man, I am gonna all over that! Looking at the blog it seems there is a whole bunch of stuff to get excited about.
Hi Gary - It is indeed part of a "Rendering Workspace" integrated with the next Fusion 360 release (aka the "May Update"). Prabakar has a good blog post outlining this and other improvements / new features that we look forward to having in the hands of customers soon. Of all the updates, Materials (rendering fidelity and workflow) is one I will be quite excited to see outcomes and suggestions on our direction there. Hey Nathan,
I noticed in the screencap closeup of the engine there is a render button along with what look like lighting and material buttons, is that in your Fusion or another program?
Thanks Kingson & Keqing! Yeah - Rolls Royce felt right :)
Nice color!
Great touch on the Rolls Royce engine decal :)
